Where does the guest guide run?
On the hosts' own server in Germany. No advertising, analytics or tracking services are used. Maps, weather and address search are loaded via our server – your IP address is not passed to OpenStreetMap or the weather service.
What we process
- Page requests: technically necessary server logs (IP address, time, page) for operation and security, kept max. 14 days (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Statistics: anonymous page counts per day and language only – no cookies, no IP address.
- Cookie / local storage: one technically necessary session cookie (language, PIN unlock, abuse protection); the check-out list is stored on your device only.
- Personal link / PIN: we see when your link was first/last opened and when the PIN was used (timestamps only). The link is valid until 7 days after departure; your stay is deleted 90 days after departure.
- Guest book: name, origin, rating and text – published only after approval; deleted on request (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Feedback & damage reports: your details and optionally a photo (location data removed automatically), visible only to us, deleted after 2 years at the latest (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Registration form: mandatory data under § 30 German Federal Registration Act, stored encrypted, kept 1 year after departure, then deleted (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Notifications to the hosts: by e-mail via our e-mail provider; Telegram notices contain no personal data.
- Videos: YouTube videos load only after you click; Google's privacy policy then applies.
